About this Campaign
Akorio Noweline Genevieve believes that good health is the foundation of successful learning. At her school, she has noticed that many girls struggle with menstrual hygiene because they lack the necessary resources. For some girls, this natural part of life becomes a source of discomfort, embarrassment, and stress. Without proper support, they often miss classes, feel less confident, and sometimes fall behind in their studies.
Menstrual hygiene is very important in schools. When girls have access to safe facilities and hygienic materials, they feel more comfortable attending school and participating fully in class activities. They are able to concentrate on their lessons instead of worrying about their personal health. Unfortunately, not every girl has access to these basic necessities.
Moved by compassion and a desire to help, Noweline decided to start a project called “Menstrual Hygiene Support.” Through this initiative, she hopes to support girls in her school who have limited menstrual hygiene resources. She plans to provide essential hygienic supplies such as toilet bags and disposable sanitary towels to girls who need them most.
In addition, Noweline wants to teach girls a practical and sustainable skill—how to make reusable sanitary pads. This knowledge will help them manage their menstrual health confidently while also reducing long-term costs.
Her goal is not only to provide materials but also to create awareness and remove the stigma surrounding menstruation. She believes that when girls feel supported and informed, they can remain confident and focused on their education.
Noweline strongly believes that a healthy body leads to a healthy mind. By supporting menstrual hygiene in schools, she hopes to help girls stay in class, believe in themselves, and build brighter futures.
