About this Campaign
Queen Ainomugisha Patricia is committed to supporting children facing difficult life challenges, especially those living with HIV. Her project focuses on Amutuhaire Bridget, a 16-year-old girl from Kanungu District in Western Uganda. Bridget has lived with HIV since childhood. Sadly, she lost both her parents to the same disease when she was only two years old. Since then, she has depended on her grandmother for care and support.
Bridget’s grandmother is now very old and weak, with no stable source of income. Despite her love and dedication, she struggles to meet the basic needs of the household, including school-related expenses. Bridget is currently a Primary Six pupil at a Universal Primary Education (UPE) school. However, she often reports to school late because of difficulties in paying school fees and other requirements.
Without strong financial and emotional support, Bridget is at risk of discontinuing her education. This would limit her opportunities and make it harder for her to achieve her dreams. Children living with HIV already face health and social challenges, and education plays a vital role in building their confidence, knowledge, and future independence.
Through this project, Queen Ainomugisha Patricia aims to provide academic support to Bridget, ensuring she can remain in school and continue learning without interruption. With proper support, girls like Bridget can grow into strong, educated, and empowered women who inspire their communities.
By investing in her education today, we can help secure a brighter and more stable future for Bridget and others facing similar challenges. Education can transform her story from one of struggle into one of strength and hope.
