About this Campaign
Queen Nakimbugwe Jemmie Keirah is passionate about giving hope to girls whose lives have been disrupted by difficult circumstances. Her project focuses on supporting Nanvwewo Christine, a young girl whose life changed dramatically during her teenage years.
Christine was impregnated by Kasaga Timothy while still very young. Sadly, Timothy later passed away in a motor accident, leaving Christine to face the responsibilities of single motherhood alone. With no stable support, she now lives in the Kawanda slum with her baby, struggling to meet basic needs and uncertain about her future.
Despite these challenges, Christine still has the potential to rebuild her life. Queen Nakimbugwe believes that equipping her with a practical vocational skill can open a new path for her. Skills such as tailoring or hairdressing can empower Christine to become self-reliant and create a stable source of income.
Through this project, Jemmie Keirah hopes to support Christine by helping her enroll in a vocational training school. With assistance to cover tuition and training requirements, Christine will gain the knowledge and experience needed to start earning a living.
Learning a life-changing skill will not only help Christine provide for herself and her child but will also restore her confidence and dignity. More importantly, her story will stand as a powerful reminder that teenage pregnancy does not mean the end of a girl’s dreams.
Queen Nakimbugwe believes that when communities support vulnerable girls with opportunities instead of judgment, they can transform their lives and become strong, independent women who inspire others.
