About this Campaign
Queen Kansiime Shanita is passionate about supporting children who face financial challenges in their education. Her project focuses on Mukisa Hannah, a 12-year-old Ugandan girl who lives in Kitintale with her single mother and siblings. They live in a small one-room house, where space and resources are very limited.
Despite these challenges, Hannah is determined to continue her education. She attends Alpha and Omega Primary School, where her tuition is 915,000 Ugandan shillings. However, due to financial difficulties at home, her mother often struggles to pay school fees on time. This situation causes Hannah to report to school late and sometimes lack essential scholastic materials such as books, pens, and other learning supplies needed during the term.
These hardships can affect a child’s confidence, attendance, and academic performance. When learners do not have the necessary support, they may feel discouraged or fall behind in class. Hannah, however, remains hopeful and committed to her studies.
Through her initiative, Queen Kansiime Shanita hopes to support Mukisa Hannah by helping with school fees and providing scholastic materials. By reducing the financial burden on her mother, Hannah can attend school regularly, focus on her lessons, and perform better academically.
Queen Shanita believes that education is the key to breaking the cycle of poverty. With the right support, Hannah can continue her studies, build her confidence, and work toward a brighter future.
Every child deserves the opportunity to learn in a stable environment, and with community support, Hannah’s dreams can be protected and nurtured.
