About this Campaign
Queen Abigail Kenyana is passionate about promoting health, dignity, and confidence among young girls. Her project focuses on improving sanitation and menstrual hygiene at Pioneer Primary School in Bugiri Village, Kawuku, Entebbe.
Sanitation plays a vital role in protecting the health and well-being of learners. When schools have clean and safe facilities, students feel comfortable and confident. However, many girls still face challenges related to poor sanitation, limited knowledge about menstrual hygiene, and lack of basic materials needed to manage their periods both at school and at home.
These challenges can lead to discomfort, illness, embarrassment, frequent absenteeism, and in some cases, school dropouts. When girls miss school regularly, their academic performance may decline, affecting their long-term opportunities and dreams.
Through this project, Queen Abigail Kenyana aims to address these concerns by guiding pupils on proper hygiene practices and menstrual health education. She plans to support girls with menstrual hygiene packages to help them manage their periods with dignity. In addition, she seeks to provide the school with sanitation tools and materials that will improve cleanliness and create a safer learning environment.
By promoting awareness and practical support, the project hopes to build confidence among girls and encourage them to remain in school and focus on their studies.
Queen Abigail strongly believes that a clean surrounding creates a healthy body and a clear mind. When sanitation and menstrual hygiene are prioritized, girls can learn without fear or interruption and fully participate in school activities. Through collective effort, the school environment can become more supportive, empowering every girl to achieve her full potential.
