About this Campaign
In a small village lived the family of Katerega Jackson and his wife, Kamukunda Betty, with their three children: Kimbugwe Ian, Nabweeteme Oliva, and Mile Namazzi. They resided in a weak, old mud house that had begun to crack and lean with age. Every time the wind blew or heavy rain fell, the house trembled. The family would sit together in silence, praying it would not collapse on them. Fear had become part of their daily life.
Jackson and Betty worked hard in peopleโs plantations. From sunrise to sunset, they labored under the hot sun to earn a small income. However, the money they received was not enough to provide adequate food, decent clothes, or a safe shelter for their children. Life was difficult, and dreams seemed far away.
Because of poverty, the children had been denied the opportunity to attend school. They watched other children walk to school with books and uniforms, wishing they could join them. Their hearts longed for education, but their parents could not afford it.
Queen Mwesigwa Dilaika dreamed of rebuilding hope in this family through education and vocational skills. She planned to offer financial support in the form of school supplies, temporary food assistance, and safer shelter. She also hoped to provide vocational training to help the parents gain employable skills. Through this support, the family would build stable income, improved confidence, and a brighter future filled with hope.
